New Routes from Amsterdam — Summer 2026

Airlines have been busy filing new routes from Schiphol ahead of the summer season. Here is what is new.

KLM — Daily Amsterdam → Athens from June

KLM is upgrading its AmsterdamAthens service from five weekly flights to daily from 1 June 2026. The extra capacity follows strong advance booking numbers. Fares start around €189 return in economy.

Transavia — New Funchal (Madeira) Route

Transavia adds Funchal to its summer schedule from 15 May. Flights operate twice weekly (Thursday, Sunday). Madeira has seen significant demand growth since 2024 — prices are expected to be competitive at launch.

Corendon — Direct Curaçao for Summer 2026

Charter-to-scheduled operator Corendon begins weekly direct service Amsterdam–Curaçao from 28 June. This is the only direct Dutch Caribbean connection not operated by TUI or KLM this season. Fares around €699 return all-in.

Wizz Air — Amsterdam → Kutaisi (Georgia)

Wizz Air quietly opened bookings for Amsterdam–Kutaisi, operating twice weekly from July. At under €120 return in some windows, it is one of the cheapest ways to reach the Caucasus from the Netherlands.

What this means for prices: New route launches typically come with promotional fares for the first few weeks of operation. If any of these destinations are on your list, booking early — ideally in the first month of sales — often yields the best prices before yields normalise.
